One of Asia's leading mixed martial arts (MMA) organizations, Road FC, has officially appointed General Albert Ferro as the representative for its Philippines branch.
General Albert Ferro is a prominent figure who led public safety and organized crime control efforts in the Philippines as the former head of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG). He contributed to the eradication of drug crime, organized crime, and corruption in collaboration with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), and has played a vital role in strengthening national security and public safety.
In particular, during his tenure as Director General of CIDG, he successfully conducted investigations into violent crimes and counter-terrorism operations, demonstrating exceptional leadership within the Philippine National Police organization. This experience and leadership are expected to positively impact the development of the Philippine mixed martial arts industry.
The Chairman of Road FC, Jeong Mun-hong, noted, 'General Albert Ferro is a person with strong leadership and organizational management skills. We determined that he is the ideal person to help Road FC Philippines grow rapidly in the Philippine mixed martial arts market and achieve international competitiveness. Through Road FC Philippines, many Filipino athletes will have opportunities to challenge themselves on the world stage.'
In accepting the position, General Albert Ferro stated, 'I would like to provide opportunities for the youth of the Philippines, police officers, and many young people to achieve their dreams in Korea. I will help Filipino athletes reach Korea and succeed through Road FC, and I will support them in achieving significant accomplishments economically. Additionally, I will take the lead in revitalizing cultural and sports exchanges between Korea and the Philippines through Road FC Philippines, bringing the two countries closer together.'
Road FC aims to grow the mixed martial arts market in the Philippines and discover and develop local athletes. Under General Albert Ferro's leadership, Road FC Philippines will establish itself as the top mixed martial arts organization in the Philippines and plans to produce competitive athletes on the international stage.
Meanwhile, Road FC has finished its contract in China, which will end in 2024. Accordingly, they plan to re-enter the Chinese market in 2025 and will further expand their global mixed martial arts network.
With Road FC's new vision, there is much expectation for General Albert Ferro and Road FC Philippines to open a new era in the Philippine mixed martial arts industry.
