QPR reported that a racial discrimination act targeting a player was reported during the Championship match against West Bromwich Albion (lost 0-1).
The fan identified as the perpetrator has been arrested by the police. West Bromwich Albion has taken action to suspend this fan's season ticket privileges.
QPR did not specify who the victimized player was.
Yang Min-hyeok, who played as a winger in the match, performed for 89 minutes until the 44th minute of the second half. However, he did not register any attacking points.
Since registering an assist in the 33rd round match against Derby County last month, Yang Min-hyeok has played without additional attacking points.
QPR fell behind after allowing a penalty kick goal to Adam Armstrong in the 40th minute of the first half. Although the opposing team's defender, Darnell Furlong, was sent off just before halftime, QPR could not change the flow of the game.
QPR currently remains in 14th place with a record of 11 wins, 11 draws, and 14 losses (44 points) in the league.
Meanwhile, Yang Min-hyeok, who debuted in K League 1 with Gangwon FC last year, signed with Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of that year and was loaned to QPR in February of this year. He has continuously earned opportunities by playing in seven consecutive matches.
