Korean boxing star Shin Bo-mi-re (31) has invited Son Heung-min (33, Tottenham) to her match.
The British 'Sport Bible' reported on the 7th (Korean time) that 'Korean boxer Shin Bo-mi-re has invited Son Heung-min to her match against Caroline Dubois.'
On the 8th at Royal Albert Hall in London, England, a World Boxing Council (WBC) women's lightweight title match will take place. Shin Bo-mi-re (31) is set to face Caroline Dubois in a champion's second defense match over 10 rounds, 2 minutes each.
Dubois won a provisional title in March 2024, followed by a promotion to the regular title in December, successfully defending it for the first time in January 2025, reaching the top of the WBC. Shin Bo-mi-re is making a name for herself as the top-ranked WBC fighter, rivaling the champion's status.
Royal Albert Hall, where the match between Shin Bo-mi-re and Dubois will take place, is a historic venue that has hosted large-scale events since it held the prestigious European music competition 'Eurovision' in 1968. Given that the match is in London, Shin Bo-mi-re has invited Son Heung-min.
According to 'Sport Bible', Shin Bo-mi-re said, 'Hello, player Son Heung-min,' and added, 'I am Shin Bo-mi-re, a former professional boxer. I would really appreciate it if you could come to cheer me on, if you have the time.'
She also mentioned, 'I've been learning football recently. It would be nice if we could kick the ball together.'
Meanwhile, according to 'Sky Sports', Dubois evaluated the match against Shin Bo-mi-re as 'a really rough and strong opponent,' stating, 'It's a truly dangerous style, one that I've never faced before.'
Furthermore, Bulgarian boxing commentator Vladimir Zets Vladislavlevich predicted, 'Dubois is expected to win, but Shin Bo-mi-re will not crumble easily. There is a high possibility that the outcome will be decided by a close decision after a fierce battle.'
