Jeonbuk Hyundai is set to compete against Sydney with foreign striker Companhia leading the charge.
Jeonbuk Hyundai will face Sydney in the first leg of the quarterfinals of the 2024-2025 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Two (ACLT) on the 6th at Yongin Mir Stadium.
Jeonbuk, led by head coach Gus Poyet, has appointed Companhia as the forward. With Companhia playing as the lone striker, Korean Young and Lee Young-jae have been positioned in the midfield, while the back four consists of Kim Tae-hyun, Park Jin-seob, Kim Young-bin, and Kim Tae-hwan. The goalkeeper is Song Bum-keun.
After beating Port FC (Thailand) 4-0-1-0 in the round of 16, Jeonbuk faces Sydney.
Sydney will approach the game with Brazil national team winger Costa at the forefront. Costa has played in 10 league matches for Sydney this season, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists. He contributed 1 goal and 3 assists in 5 ACLT matches, aiding Sydney's progress to the quarterfinals. Costa is expected to start and target Jeonbuk's defense.
Additionally, Grant, who previously played in the K League for Pohang, has been placed in Sydney's defense. Also, Wataru Kamijo, who has a Korean mother, will participate in the match.
