Figure skating national team member Shin Ji-a (17, Sehwa Girls' High School) has won a medal for four consecutive years at the 2025 ISU Junior World Championships.
On the 1st, Shin Ji-a won the silver medal at the '2025 ISU Figure Skating Junior World Championships' held in Debrecen, Hungary.
She achieved a technical element score (TES) of 67.11 and a program component score (PCS) of 60.85 in the free skating, recording a total score of 190.53 by combining the short program score of 63.57, finishing in second place overall and taking home the silver medal.
The free skating score of 126.96 that Shin Ji-a achieved on that day is her season-best score, marking an impressive achievement of winning the silver medal at the Junior World Championships for four consecutive years.
After the competition, Shin Ji-a noted through her management company, All That Sports, "I made some mistakes due to nerves, but I have no regrets as I did my best until the end."
Furthermore, Shin Ji-a stated, "I never thought of winning a medal for four consecutive years as something easy, so today's last junior world medal is even more precious and makes me happy. Starting next season, I will be a senior, and I will prepare well to show an even better performance."
Meanwhile, after the competition, Shin Ji-a plans to return to Canada and continue her training.
