Incheon United and Suwon Samsung clash in the second division.
Incheon United and Suwon Samsung will face off in the second round of the Hana Bank K League 2 2025 regular league at the Incheon Football Stadium on 1st at 2 p.m.
This is a match between two teams considered leading promotion candidates. Until two years ago, Incheon and Suwon competed as rivals in K League 1. However, Suwon recorded last place in the 2023 season, being the first to drop down, and last season Incheon was also relegated for the first time in its history, entering the promotion competition.
As expected from championship candidates, both teams celebrated victories in their opening matches. Incheon defeated Gyeongnam 2-0 with consecutive goals from Mugosa and Kim Sung-min. The presence of foreign attackers Mugosa, Gerso, and Barrow was significant. On that day, Incheon showcased a fierce attacking power with 22 shots, connecting 18 of them to shots on goal as a consolidation.
Suwon defeated Ansan Greeners 1-0 with a decisive goal from 'newcomer' Kim Ji-hyun. Suwon also recorded 26 shots and 16 shots on goal, vigorously pounding on the Ansan goal. However, they struggled by missing key opportunities several times, and only managed to secure victory thanks to Kim Ji-hyun's penalty kick. Along with the win, Suwon also took on a definite challenge for improvement.

Incheon will start with Mugosa, Park Seung-ho, Gerso, Lee Myung-joo, Moon Ji-hwan, Kim Bo-seob, Choi Seung-gu, Kim Keon-hee, Park Kyung-seob, Lee Ju-yong, and Min Sung-jun. Kim Sung-min, Barrow, Lee Dong-ryul, Kim Do-hyeok, Min Kyung-hyun, Delbridge, and Hwang Seong-min will wait on the bench.
