Seoul Samsung selected Kim Jae-won (Cheongju Shinheung High School 2) and Yang Woo-hyuk (Samil High School 2) as the recipients of the 25th Kim Hyun-jun Basketball Scholarship. The selected recipients will each receive a scholarship of 2.1 million won and a scholarship plaque. The scholarship award ceremony will take place during halftime of the match against Daegu Korea Gas Corporation on March 1, with Kim Se-hee, the daughter of the late Coach Kim Hyun-jun, presenting the awards.

The recipients will receive a scholarship and various training items, including training clothes, running shoes, and backpacks, sponsored by Reebok. They will also visit STC to meet with the team and undergo training on various methods to prevent injuries.

The Kim Hyun-jun Basketball Scholarship is implemented to honor the late individual, who led the development of Korean basketball, and to support promising basketball players. This is the 25th edition, and since 2000, a certain amount has been accumulated for each team victory, delivering a total of 171.9 million won in scholarships to 79 recipients. Since the 11th scholarship in 2011, the selection target has been expanded from the existing Seoul area to nationwide, and selections are made based on recommendations from coaches and various competition records.

Meanwhile, among the past recipients, players who have competed in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) include Lee Dong-yeob and Cha Min-seok of the Samsung Thunders, as well as the first recipient Yang Hee-jong (Anyang KGC), Choi Jun-yong, Lee Seung-hyun, Song Kyo-chang (Busan KCC), Byeon Jun-hyung (Anyang Jeonggwanjang), Kim Nak-hyun (Korea Gas Corporation), and Moon Jung-hyun (Suwon KT).
