Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is cruising toward back-to-back victories in the French Cup. Lee Kang-in (23, PSG) did not participate, but the team achieved victory with overwhelming performance.

PSG defeated Stade Briochin 7-0 in the quarterfinals of the Coupe de France for the 2024-2025 season, held at Roazon Park in Rennes, France, on the 27th (Korea time). Briochin, a team from the fourth division, had caused a stir by defeating OGC Nice from the first division in a previous match but could not overcome the wall of PSG.

Lee Kang-in, who is known to be carrying a slight injury, was excluded from the lineup as a precaution for conditioning. PSG noted in an official announcement before the match that Lee Kang-in and Vitinha are undergoing recovery training.

Coach Luis Enrique deployed Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Gonçalo Ramos, and Edri Due in the attacking line. In the midfield, Seny Moutalou, Fabian Ruiz, and Ruben Neves took their positions, while the defense consisted of Luka Hernandez, Willian Pacho, Lucas Veraldu, and Achraf Hakimi. Goalkeeper Matvey Safonov donned the gloves.

On the bench were Presnel Kimpembe, Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé, Warren Zaire-Emery, and Ibrahim Mbaye. They were brought on as substitutes in the second half.

PSG took control from the beginning of the match. They held 78% possession in the first half and dominated in shots, leading 11-1. Briochin tried to defend but could not block PSG's offensive onslaught.

The first goal came in the 15th minute of the first half. After Due's shot hit the post, Neves pushed it in with his left foot. Then in the 35th minute, Ramos, who received a pass from Moutalou, scored an additional goal, ending the first half at 2-0.

PSG's offense did not stop in the second half. In the 4th minute of the second half, Kvaratskhelia earned a penalty kick, which Ramos converted, making it 3-0. Six minutes later, Due scored the fourth goal with an impressive left-footed shot.

Ramos completed his hat trick in the 12th minute of the second half. After receiving a pass from Due, he calmly finished to extend the score to 5-0. In the 20th minute of the second half, Moutalou scored, and just before the end of the match, Dembélé, who was substituted on, scored with a right-footed shot.
