The '2025 National Taekwondo Demonstration Team' is set to begin its full-scale activities.
The National Taekwondo Organization held a ceremony on the 25th at the National Taekwondo Training Center, attended by Lee Dong-seop, the president of the National Taekwondo Organization, and Nam Seung-hyun, the head of the demonstration team, among others, for about 100 full-time and part-time members who will be active this year.
From Jan. 16, the National Taekwondo Organization recruited full-time and part-time members through an announcement on its website and completed the selection after the first document review and a strict practical examination.
President Lee Dong-seop noted in his opening remarks, “The demonstration performance that you will showcase is an effective way to convey the charm and value of taekwondo in a short time, going beyond just simple gestures,” and asked everyone to do their best with a united heart to maintain the essence of taekwondo, the martial arts spirit.
After the opening remarks, President Lee Dong-seop presented appointment letters to 42 full-time demonstration team members (supervisors, coaches, members, exercise prescription experts) and certificates of appointment to 51 part-time demonstration team members (supervisors, coaches, members).
Meanwhile, the National Taekwondo Demonstration Team, founded in 1974, has played a pivotal role in the globalization of taekwondo, touring over 150 countries to date and consisting of approximately 100 members (full-time and part-time) as the world's leading traditional demonstration team.
