Some game start times in the professional baseball exhibition matches will be changed to enhance adaptability to night games.
The matches on March 13 between Kiwoom and SSG at Munhak, and between KT and NC in Changwon, on March 15 in Sajik between KT and Lotte, and on March 17 in Daejeon between Samsung and Hanwha, and in Gwangju between SSG and KIA will be changed from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The professional baseball exhibition matches will take place from March 8 to 18, with each team playing 10 games for a total of 50 games. The opening games will be held at venues in Suwon (LG-KT), Cheongju (Doosan-Hanwha), Daegu (SSG-Samsung), Sajik (KIA-Lotte), and Changwon (Kiwoom-NC). This exhibition schedule has been arranged considering the unavailability of certain venues due to ground construction (Jamsil: March 8 to 12, March 15 to 16 / Gocheok: March 8 to 14 / Munhak: March 8 to 9 / Daejeon: March 8 to 16 / Gwangju: March 8 to 13 / Daegu: March 15 to 18).
All new regulations and rules that will be applied this season will be implemented from the exhibition matches. The modified ABS zone will be applied, and pitch clock regulations will also be in effect. Additionally, the rule that changes the first base 3-foot line to start from the inside dirt area of the foul line to the 3-foot line will also be implemented.
Exhibition matches will allow affiliated players and training players to participate, with no limit on the number of players that can participate. All exhibition matches will start at 1 p.m., and there will be no extra innings or double headers. Cancelled games will not be rescheduled, and video reviews can be requested twice per team (however, if there is a consecutive overturn of two decisions, one additional request is allowed).
