The South Korean men's ice hockey team won a bronze medal at the Harbin Winter Asian Games.
According to the Korean Sports Council and others on the 14th, the South Korean men's ice hockey team (head coach Kim Woo-jae) triumphed over China 5-2 in the bronze medal match for men's ice hockey at the '2025 Harbin Winter Asian Games', held at the Harbin Ice Hockey Arena in China.
The men's ice hockey team aimed for its first gold medal in Asian Games history, but lost in the semifinals to Japan the previous day. Since the 2007 Changchun Games, the team has consistently earned bronze medals at the Winter Asian Games, now achieving bronze for the fourth consecutive time.
The team conceded the first goal to home team China just 7 minutes and 27 seconds into the first period, but turned the game around by scoring 3 points in the second period. Although they conceded an additional point to China early in the third period, they added 2 more points in the latter half to secure the victory.
Meanwhile, the women's ice hockey team lost 0-3 in the final match against Kazakhstan, held at the Harbin University of Sports' student ice rink. They were the only team among the four that reached the finals not to record a win, finishing with three losses and placing fourth.
