[2025 Harbin Winter Asian Games]

Park Ji-won (Seoul City Hall) and Jang Sung-woo (Korea University) won silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the men's 500m short track at the 2025 Harbin Winter Asian Games.

On the 8th, Park Ji-won placed second in the men's 500m final at the competition held at the Heilongjiang Ice Training Center in Harbin, China, with a time of 41.398 seconds. Jang Sung-woo recorded a time of 41.442 seconds to take third place.

The gold medal was claimed by Lin Shaojun (Korean name Im Hyo-jun·41.150 seconds), who became a naturalized citizen from China. After slipping in the mixed 2000m relay final, Lin Shaojun earned his first individual medal of the competition with a silver in the men's 1500m.

Both Park Ji-won and Lin Shaojun are athletes known for their strengths in the 500m event. Park Ji-won, who was running in second place, succeeded in a late-race comeback, but Lin Shaojun reclaimed the lead and crossed the finish line first.

Park Ji-won collected his third medal of the competition, following gold medals in the mixed 2000m relay and the men's 1500m.
