Police launched a search after a suitcase suspected of containing an explosive was found at Gwanghwamun Post Office in Jongno District, Seoul.
According to the Jongno Police Station in Seoul on the 10th, a 112 call came in at about 3:23 p.m. reporting that a suitcase suspected to be an explosive had been found inside Gwanghwamun Post Office. It was reported that a person from outside, not a post office employee, entered the building's second floor and left the suitcase.
The police special operations unit that responded to the report is checking whether it is an explosive, including conducting an X-ray inspection of the suitcase at the scene.
Police detection dogs were also deployed in the search. No unusual response is said to have appeared during the inspection using the dogs.
