A woman in her 30s walking down the entrance ramp of a public parking lot in Gimpo, Gyeonggi, fell and was run over by a vehicle entering the lot, resulting in her death.
According to the Gimpo Fire Station and Gimpo Police Station on the 8th, a report came in at about 8:36 p.m. the previous day that a woman in her 30s, identified as A, had been run over by a vehicle at the entrance ramp of a public parking lot in Gurae-dong, Gimpo.
A was rescued in cardiac arrest and transported to a hospital while receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) but was later pronounced dead.
A police investigation found that A fell at the entrance ramp while walking down to the underground parking lot.
At that time, a man in his 60s, identified as B, who was driving a vehicle entering the lot, apparently failed to notice A lying on the ground, leading to the crash.
Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the crash and whether the driver was at fault, based on the vehicle's dashcam footage and witness statements.
