On the afternoon of the 7th, power was cut across the entire Daegu Metro Line 3, bringing trains in service to a halt.
According to Daegu City, at about 7:38 p.m. the same day, power supply suddenly stopped across the entire Line 3. Afterward, as power was restored to some sections, service resumed between Chilgok Kyungpook National University Medical Center Station and Dalseong Park Station.
Service remains suspended between Dalseong Park Station and Yongji Station, and passengers were reportedly let off at the stations.
There were reportedly passengers on the trains at the time of the power cutoff. Daegu City and Daegu Transportation Corporation are investigating the scene while determining the cause of the power outage and the number of passengers on each train.
Fire authorities said, "There have been no rescue requests or fire dispatches due to the suspension of train service."
A Daegu City official said, "It appears trains in service stopped as power failed across the entire Line 3," adding, "We are checking the exact cause and the overall situation."
