Lee & Ko (representative attorney Kim Sang-gon) discussed ways to expand cooperation between Korean and British defense corporations with the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea (BCCK).
Lee & Ko said on the 7th that on the 31st in Jung-gu, Seoul, at the firm's new annex, it held the BCCK Defence Briefing, a briefing event in the defense industry field, with the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea. The event was also held online simultaneously.
Global defense corporations such as Airbus Helicopters, Babcock International Group PLC, BAE Systems, Leonardo S.p.A., MBDA, Reflex Marine, and Rolls-Royce, as well as officials from the British Embassy in Korea, attended the event.
Kang Eun-ho, an advisor on Lee & Ko's defense industry team, gave a presentation on the theme "Opportunities for UK-Korea defence cooperation." Attorneys Kim Hyuk-jung, Lee Jong-seok, Son Gwang-ik, and Lee In-su from the defense industry team at Lee & Ko also attended.
In the Q&A after the presentation, participants discussed areas and business opportunities in which British defense corporations and Korean corporations could cooperate in line with the growth trend of Korea's defense market.
Lee & Ko and the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea plan to continue exchanges to expand cooperation between European defense contractors, including those in the United Kingdom, and Korean defense corporations.
