The Gariwangsan cable car in Jeongseon County, Gangwon, stopped operating due to a power outage and was restarted using emergency power in about 30 minutes.
According to the Jeongseon County Facilities Management Corporation on the 7th, at about 12:29 p.m. a power outage occurred on the Gariwangsan cable car in Jeongseon County, Gangwon, halting operations.
The corporation activated emergency power and resumed cable car operations at about 1 p.m., about 30 minutes later. After that, it sequentially transported passengers who had been on the cable car at the time and visitors who had been touring at the upper station down to the lower boarding station.
The corporation is informing new users of the suspension and restricting additional boarding.
Once the electrical manager completes an on-site inspection, the corporation plans to normalize cable car operations.
