On Monday the 7th, most of the country will be mostly clear with temperatures near normal. With cool early autumn weather continuing in the morning and evening, rain is expected along the east coast and on Jeju Island. Strong winds will blow in many parts of the country.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 6th, the country will be mostly clear on the 7th, but the Gangwon east coast and mountains, the Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island will be mostly cloudy.
In the morning, there will be places with rain on the Gangwon east coast and mountains; in Busan and Ulsan; in the eastern inland of South Gyeongsang; along the southwestern South Gyeongsang coast; on the North Gyeongsang east coast and northeastern mountains; and on Jeju Island.
Expected rainfall is 5–10 mm on the Gangwon east coast and mountains and on the North Gyeongsang east coast and northeastern mountains, and less than 5 mm in Busan, Ulsan, the eastern inland of South Gyeongsang, and the southwestern South Gyeongsang coast. On Jeju Island, 5–20 mm is expected in the mountains and mid-slope areas, and around 5 mm along the coast.
Winds will also be strong. With high wind advisories in effect along the Gyeongsang coast and on Jeju Island, some places along the Gyeongsang coast may see gusts over 70 kph through the afternoon of the 7th, and Jeju Island may see gusts over 70 kph through the early morning of the 8th. In the Jeju mountains, gusts may exceed 90 kph.
In most other regions nationwide, strong winds with gusts around 55 kph will blow through the afternoon of the 7th.
Temperatures will remain near normal for the time being. On the 7th, morning lows are expected to be 15–23 C, with daytime highs of 25–31 C.
However, in the South Jeolla region, the maximum heat index could rise to around 31 C through the 8th.
