Law firm Dongin (managing representative attorney Won Chang-yeon) said on the 4th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Japan's King & Wood Law Office·Foreign Law Joint Business (KWT) to jointly respond to the legal needs of Korean and Japanese corporations.
Dongin and KWT held a signing ceremony on Aug. 25 at Dongin's main conference room in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Under the agreement, the two sides will introduce and cooperate on related work when their respective clients need legal services in the other country.
Dongin plans to consolidation KWT for domestic corporations entering the Japanese market or doing business locally to provide support needed for investment·transaction and corporate legal affairs, and disputes.
KWT is a Japanese law office participating in King & Wood's global network. It provides Japan law-related legal services in areas such as corporations·mergers and acquisitions (M&A), finance, international transactions, foreign investment, restructuring·insolvency, labor, and litigation·international disputes.
A Dongin official said, "Through this agreement, we have laid the groundwork to respond more swiftly and professionally to the legal needs of corporations in both Korea and Japan," and added, "We will leverage both sides' expertise and networks to comprehensively support the diverse legal issues of corporations related to Japan."
