On Thursday the 3rd, clouds will cover much of Korea with rain and showers in places. Afternoon highs are forecast at 25–33 C.
From morning through night, rain will fall along the Gangwon east coast and mountains, the North Gyeongsang east coast and northeastern mountains, and Jeju Island. In Busan, Ulsan, and the eastern interior of South Gyeongsang, some areas will see rain between 9 a.m. and midday.
From afternoon into the evening, showers will develop mainly over southern North Chungcheong, the Jeolla region, and the interior of the Gyeongsang region. In areas with showers, be cautious of gusty winds with thunder and lightning.
Expected rainfall is 5–10 mm on the Gangwon east coast and mountains, and 5–20 mm in Busan, Ulsan, the eastern interior of South Gyeongsang, the North Gyeongsang east coast and northeastern mountains, and Jeju Island. Showers are projected at 5–40 mm in Gwangju and South Jeolla and the interior of South Gyeongsang, 5–30 mm in eastern North Jeolla, and about 5–30 mm in Daegu and the interior of North Gyeongsang.
Morning lows are expected at 19–26 C, and afternoon highs at 25–33 C. In parts of South Jeolla, the Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island, tropical nights with temperatures not falling below 25 C may occur.
From pre-dawn through the morning, dense fog will form in some areas, mainly in the central interior.
Waves will run 0.5–2.0 meters offshore in the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5–1.0 meters offshore in the Yellow Sea. On the open sea, wave heights are expected at 0.5–2.5 meters in the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5–2.0 meters in the Yellow Sea.
