Pentagon Law Tax Accounting said on the 1st that it has recruited attorney Jeon Seung-hwan (11th bar exam), formerly of the Seoul Regional Tax Service.
Jeon, who newly joined Pentagon, is a legal professional qualified as both an attorney and a tax accountant. Jeon graduated from Changpyeong High School and the business administration department at Soongsil University and completed the law school at Ajou University. After passing the 54th tax accountant exam and the 11th bar exam, Jeon gained practical experience in tax and law at a tax firm and a law firm.
From 2022 to August this year, Jeon worked as a term-based attorney in the Investigation Bureau 2 at the Seoul Regional Tax Service. There, Jeon handled tax audits of corporations and individual business operators. Specifically, Jeon conducted audits of mid-sized and small corporations across various industries, including developers, virtual asset, manufacturing, franchise, and platform corporations. Jeon also handled audits of various individual business operators, including professionals such as physicians and attorneys, as well as the lend industry, nightlife businesses, distribution businesses, influencers, and entertainers.
Pentagon said, "Attorney Jeon is a key talent in the field of taxes, equipped not only with expertise in taxation and law but also with hands-on experience in audits at the taxing authority," adding, "With this recruitment, we have further strengthened our capabilities in responding to tax audits and resolving tax disputes."
Jeon said, "A tax audit does not begin when the taxpayer receives a notice; it already begins the moment the taxing authority starts reviewing the materials," adding, "Having directly experienced the taxing authority's perspective at the investigation bureau, I want to be the first expert a taxpayer meets."
