The well-known BJ (internet broadcaster) couple Juice Seyeon (26, legal name In Seyeon) and Kay (37, legal name Park Jung-gyu) are under police investigation on suspicion of administering psychotropic drugs.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul said on the 1st that three people, including In and Park, were booked on July 30 on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Control Act and are under investigation.
They are suspected of taking sleeping pills classified as psychotropic drugs.
Initially, only news of the investigation into Park was reported, but it was additionally confirmed that In is also under investigation.
Park acknowledged during a live broadcast on the internet platform SOOP on the 27th of last month that he is under investigation on suspicion of having sleeping pills prescribed through an acquaintance and taking them, and apologized. Park said he has already completed a police interview and is now having the medication prescribed through proper procedures, adding, "I am sorry for causing this problem."
