HwaWoo LLC opened a Gangbuk office in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, establishing a so-called "dual hub" system that links Gangnam and Gangbuk.
HwaWoo said it opened the Gangbuk office at Seoul Finance Center (SFC) on Sejong-daero in Jung-gu, Seoul, and began official operations on the 1st. This is the first time HwaWoo, which has operated out of ASEM Tower on Yeongdong-daero in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, has added a separate domestic office, excluding overseas locations.
The Gangbuk office was launched to respond more quickly to work related to corporations and financial institutions concentrated in Gwanghwamun, City Hall, Jongno and Euljiro, as well as government and regulatory agencies. The firm plans to strengthen work such as responding to investigations in fair trade or labor, supporting foreign companies, responding to legislation and public relations, and managing regulatory risk.
The Gangbuk office includes a large conference room, a meeting lounge and workspaces. It is operated to allow lawyers in required fields to join meetings from any office by linking it with the existing ASEM Tower office through a video conferencing system.
HwaWoo plans to use the Gangbuk office as a base to provide legal services close to corporations' sites. In particular, it expects to improve accessibility for clients in the Gangbuk area for work where early response speed is crucial, such as investigations or regulatory issues.
Lee Myung-soo, HwaWoo's managing partner, said, "The opening of the Gangbuk office is a promise that HwaWoo will take the first step toward the sites where clients are," and added, "It is a strategic base to deliver the expertise HwaWoo has built to clients at the fastest speed."
Lee added, "We will continue to expand client-centered service infrastructure with the belief that saving clients' time is the best legal service."
