Law firm Dongin (Managing Partner Attorney Won Chang-yeon) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Small and Medium Business Convergence Seoul Federation to support legal services for small and midsize businesses.
Dongin said on the 1st that it signed the agreement with the Small and Medium Business Convergence Seoul Federation on the 31st at Dongin's main conference room in Seocho-dong, Seoul.
The agreement was promoted to establish a support system so that small and midsize businesses can respond from the early stage to a variety of legal issues they may face in the course of business, such as nonpayment of transaction amounts and contract disputes, and labor and dismissals.
Under the agreement, Dongin will provide related legal services if legal issues arise at the Seoul Federation or its member companies. It will also support legal counsel on various regulations and operations needed for the federation's group management.
The two organizations agreed to share materials and information necessary to implement the agreement and to cooperate in carrying out tasks. They also plan to identify additional areas for future cooperation.
A Dongin official said, "We have laid the groundwork for small and midsize businesses to receive support from the early stages when legal issues arise," adding, "We will actively support member companies so they can respond quickly to various legal issues they face in the course of business."
The agreement remains in effect for three years from the 31st. It is automatically extended by one year unless a separate notice of termination is given.
