On Tuesday the 1st, skies nationwide will be mostly cloudy, with rain expected mainly in the central region. Showers are forecast for the southern region and Jeju Island.
In the central region, rain will fall in places through the morning, and in parts of eastern Gyeonggi and Gangwon Province it may continue into the late afternoon. In the southern region and Jeju Island, showers are expected from afternoon to evening.
Expected rainfall is 10–60 mm for Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, and the five West Sea islands, and 10–50 mm for Gangwon Province. Western South Chungcheong is expected to receive 30–80 mm, with more than 100 mm possible in parts of the South Chungcheong west coast. The expected rainfall for Daejeon, Sejong, eastern South Chungcheong, and North Chungcheong is 20–60 mm.
North Jeolla; Gwangju and South Jeolla; Daegu and North Gyeongsang; and Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang are each expected to receive 5–40 mm of rain. Jeju Island is forecast to receive 5–30 mm. In areas with rain or showers, gusty winds with thunder and lightning are possible, so use caution to prevent accidents.
Temperatures will be higher than average. Morning lows are forecast at 21–26 C, with daytime highs at 25–34 C.
Along the East Sea coast, long-period swells may move in, so be cautious of coastal accidents.
Waves will run 0.5–1.5 meters in the East Sea's nearshore waters and 0.5–1.0 meters in the West and South seas' nearshore waters. In offshore waters, wave heights are expected to be 0.5–2.5 meters in the East Sea and 0.5–2.0 meters in the West and South seas.
