A man in his 30s who refused a police request for a breath test and fled was rescued after plunging into the sea with his car.
According to Masan Jungbu Police Station on the 31st, Mr. A is suspected of refusing a police request for a breath test and speeding away in a vehicle at about 10:55 p.m. on the 30th in the area of Jindong-myeon, Masanhappo-gu, Changwon, South Gyeongsang.
Police were dispatched after a report that Mr. A appeared to be driving drunk. Mr. A broke away from police attempts to stop him and fled, and in the process one officer injured an elbow. The Korea Coast Guard, which responded to a joint request and was dispatched, found Mr. A's car, which had fallen into the sea near Gwangam Port, about 3 kilometers from where the chase began.
