A Chinese man in his 30s suspected of killing a Chinese female international student in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang, was found to have moved to Dongdaegu Station right after the crime wearing women's clothing and covering his face.
According to the Gyeongsan Police Station in North Gyeongsang on the 26th, a suspect identified as a person surnamed Jeong entered his residence with the victim around 2 a.m. on the 20th. At the time, closed-circuit (CC)TV reportedly did not show Jeong forcibly dragging the victim.
After that, Jeong left the house alone wearing women's clothes and covering his face with a hat and other items. He was found to have traveled to Dongdaegu Station, changed clothes in a nearby restroom, and then returned to his residence.
Jeong was found to have also turned off the victim's cellphone at a certain point during this process.
Police believe Jeong acted this way to throw off the investigation. A police official said, "We are reviewing a charge of obstruction of official duties in light of the fact that he deceived police in the early stage of the case."
