A Chinese woman in her 20s studying abroad who went missing in Daegu on the 20th was found dead six days after her disappearance.
The North Gyeongsang Provincial Police Agency said on the 25th that it is questioning a man in his 30s, identified as B, on suspicion of murder in the death of a 25-year-old Chinese college student, identified as A. Police said they executed an arrest warrant for B at 7:29 p.m. that day in Gyeongsan and took him into custody, and found A dead at B's residence in Hayang-eup, Gyeongsan.
A moved to Daegu on the night of the 20th and then lost contact with family. The last known whereabouts were Dongdaegu Station. Police, while tracking A's movements, detected criminal suspicion and identified B.
Police plan to conduct an autopsy to determine A's cause of death and are questioning B about the motive and specific details of the crime. They also plan to seize and search B's residence and other locations to secure additional evidence related to the crime.
