Kim Woo-young (photo), a reporter on the social affairs desk at ChosunBiz, won the Excellent Journalist Award conferred by the Korean Bar Association on the 24th.
The association held an awards ceremony at Lotte Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, on Aug. 24 during the 2026 "Lawyers' Convention for the Rule of Law," saying it "fulfilled the journalist's mission of pursuing truthful and upright reporting and contributed to the development of the rule of law by representing the people's voices in a balanced and fair manner," and presented the award to five people, including Kim.
The Lawyers' Convention is a forum where attorneys nationwide gather to seek measures to realize the rule of law and to review and analyze all fields, including the legislature, judiciary, and administration, and announce the results internally and externally; this year marks its 34th edition.
