According to police on the 25th, the Yongin Dongbu Police Station in Gyeonggi is currently investigating suspect A not only for filming using a camera under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes and trespassing into a multiuse facility for sexual purposes, but also for forcible molestation.
A is accused of molestation for touching a woman's buttocks at the wave pool at キャリビアンベイ on the 1st. At the time, the person was caught on the spot by a staff member after the victim reported it. Police who were dispatched then officially received the case and completed initial measures.
On the 30th of last month, two days earlier, the person also entered a women's changing room, was discovered, and fled, it was found. The person had covered the face with a hat, mask, and sunglasses, and ran away when a staff member asked for an ID.
As a result of the investigation, A was found to have entered a women's changing room twice, on the 17th and the 30th of last month, and filmed women changing clothes with a small camera. It was conveyed that the person altered appearance to avoid suspicion, including wearing a hat with a short-cut wig attached.
Police arrested A at a home in Seoul on the 21st. During the arrest, they seized a wristwatch-type recording device, a mobile phone, a laptop, and storage media, and are conducting forensics. The storage media are said to contain several illegally filmed videos each several minutes long.
