A man in his 30s who took a coworker in his car to his home and confined the person was arrested by police.
Gwangju Nambu Police Station said on the 24th that it urgently arrested A, a man in his 30s, on suspicion of kidnapping and confining a coworker.
A is accused of taking the victim into his car at about 6 p.m. on the 22nd and driving to a vacant house owned by his family in Nam-gu, Gwangju, where the victim was kept from going outside for about five hours. The victim was found to have been confined in the dwellings until about 11 p.m. the same day.
After receiving the report, police identified A and urgently arrested the person at his home. During police questioning, A was reported to have said about the victim, "I did it because I had feelings."
Police are investigating A's motive and the specific circumstances of the crime.
