On Tuesday the 25th, scattered showers will fall in many parts of the country, and the heat will continue.
From the morning, showers will fall in the Seoul metropolitan area, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon and the northern East Sea coast, and northern North Chungcheong, with some places seeing gusty winds and thunder and lightning.
Expected rainfall from the showers: ▲ northeastern Gyeonggi 5–60 mm ▲ northern Gangwon inland and mountains 5–60 mm ▲ Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi 5–40 mm ▲ northern North Chungcheong 5–30 mm ▲ northern Gangwon East Sea coast 5–20 mm.
Before dawn, a few places in northern Gyeonggi and inland and mountainous areas of central and northern Gangwon may see sprinkles of less than 0.1 mm.
Where it rains, temperatures will briefly drop, but with humidity remaining high, temperatures will rise again afterward and the heat will resume.
In most areas nationwide, the maximum heat index will be around 33 C, rising to around 35 C in parts of the Seoul metropolitan area, the Gangwon East Sea coast, the Chungcheongnam region and the southern regions.
Morning lows are forecast at 21–26 C, with daytime highs at 31–36 C.
