The Chinese Football Association said on the 23rd that it found no evidence that its officials were involved after an internal probe into allegations of sexual entertainment tied to the Korea Football Association.
On social media (SNS) that day, the Chinese Football Association said, "Regarding allegations reported by some outlets that Chinese Football Association officials were involved in the Korea Football Association's 'inappropriate entertainment,' we promptly formed an investigation team and conducted a probe," and delivered this finding.
It added, "The investigation found no evidence to prove that the Korea Football Association provided 'inappropriate entertainment' to Chinese Football Association officials."
However, the Chinese Football Association did not disclose the subjects of the investigation, the methods, or specific details of the probe.
The Chinese Football Association said it "will continue to monitor how the situation develops," adding, "If new facts or leads emerge, we will reopen the investigation."
Earlier, on the 19th, the Chinese Football Association referenced South Korean media reports that the Korea Football Association had in the past provided "inappropriate entertainment" to Chinese Football Association officials, and said it had launched an association-level probe and would announce the results as soon as the investigation was concluded.
