On Monday, the 24th, scattered showers with gusty winds and thunder and lightning will fall across the country, and the sweltering heat will continue.
The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast, "There will be places with showers in many areas nationwide from the afternoon to the evening tomorrow (the 24th)."
In the afternoon, there will be places with showers in the southeastern inland of South Chungcheong, the southern part of North Chungcheong, and Jeju Island, and from afternoon to evening, in the northeastern part of Gyeonggi, the central and northern inland of Gangwon, the inland of North Jeolla, the South Jeolla region, the southern inland of Daegu and North Gyeongsang, and the western inland of South Gyeongsang.
Expected rainfall is 5–20 mm in the northeastern part of Gyeonggi, the central and northern inland of Gangwon, and Jeju Island; 5–40 mm in the southeastern inland of South Chungcheong and the southern part of North Chungcheong; and 5–50 mm in Gwangju, South Jeolla, the inland of North Jeolla, the southern inland of Daegu and North Gyeongsang, and the western inland of South Gyeongsang.
In areas where rain or showers fall, there will be places with thunder and lightning along with gusty winds.
For the time being, temperatures will be higher than average (morning lows 19–23 C, daytime highs 27–31 C). The maximum heat index in most regions nationwide will rise to around 33 C (around 35 C in parts of southern Gyeonggi and the southern regions), bringing sweltering conditions.
Overnight, some areas will see tropical nights.
Morning lows will range from 22–26 C, and daytime highs will fluctuate between 31–36 C.
Waves will run 0.5–1.0 meters in the nearshore waters of the East and West seas, and 0.5–1.5 meters in the nearshore waters of the South Sea.
Fine dust levels will be between "good" and "moderate" across all regions. Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang are expected to be "moderate," while other areas are expected to be "good."
