A man in his 40s, identified as A, who was driving a forklift at a Coupang logistics center in Gwangju, Gyeonggi, was taken to a hospital in cardiac arrest.
According to Gwangju Police Station in Gyeonggi on the 23rd, at about 12:45 p.m. that day, A was driving a forklift inside the logistics center when it collided with a structure behind, and A's neck was caught between the forklift and the structure.
Fire authorities, dispatched after receiving a report, transported A, who was in cardiac arrest, to a hospital.
A's pulse has returned, but A has not yet regained consciousness, according to reports.
A Coupang Fulfillment Services official said, "We will spare no support needed for the employee's speedy recovery," and added, "We will faithfully cooperate with related agencies' investigations."
Police plan to investigate the specific circumstances of the accident.
