Law firm YulChon said on the 20th that it signed an industry-academia cooperation memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Graduate School of Taxation at University of Seoul to cultivate professional talent in tax law and advance education and research.
YulChon said the agreement was pursued to strengthen education and research capabilities in the field of tax law and expand practical linkages. Under the agreement, YulChon and the city university will in the future actively cooperate in the following areas: ▲ joint development and operation of education programs to cultivate professionals in tax law ▲ joint industry-academia research to strengthen research capabilities in tax law ▲ joint operation of practice-centered programs such as regular special lectures, seminars, and workshops ▲ support for education and research infrastructure.
Jeon Young-jun, head attorney of YulChon's taxes group, said, "Tax law is a field of legal studies in which theory and practice are very closely connected," and added, "With this agreement, we will actively consider ways to apply YulChon's practical experience to tax law education and research, and ways to use the Graduate School of Taxation's theoretical research results in practice."
Jeong Ji-seon, dean of the Graduate School of Taxation at the University of Seoul, said, "Beyond simple exchanges between the two institutions, we will create a leading industry-academia cooperation model that integrates education, research, and practice in the field of tax law."
