Yonsei University moved to tighten security after a naked man repeatedly appeared near dormitories on the Sinchon campus.
According to Yonsei University on the 21st, the school said in a dormitory notice the day before that "an incident related to safety occurred due to unauthorized entry by an outsider," and that "to prevent a recurrence and create a safe living environment, we will temporarily close the entrance behind Muak Dormitory 1 that leads to Ansan."
The intent is to restrict access by outsiders by closing some entrances to the Ansan hiking trail that connects to the Sinchon campus in Seodaemun District.
The school said it will increase the brightness of walkway streetlights and strengthen patrols.
Earlier, on the 19th, a man wearing a mask while naked sexually molested a student in front of a dormitory on the Yonsei Sinchon campus and then fled.
On June 12 and July 21, a man dressed the same way was also reportedly spotted nearby.
Police are analyzing closed-circuit TV (CCTV) footage to identify the suspect.
