Police launched an investigation after brothers in their 50s and 40s were found dead at an apartment in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi. Signs of homicide were found on the younger brother's body.
According to police and fire authorities on the 21st, a report that "a person fell" was received around 10 a.m. at a 15-story apartment in Uijeongbu.
At the scene, a man in his 50s, identified as A, who lives on the 15th floor of the apartment, was found after a fall. A was taken to a hospital by 119 but died.
Authorities forcibly opened the front door to check A's home and found A's younger brother, B, in his 40s, dead in a room. B's body showed stab wounds and other signs of homicide, according to reports.
The two were found to have been living together in the unit. A forensic examination at the scene found no signs of external intrusion, and no suicide note was found.
Police are investigating the circumstances of their deaths and the exact sequence of events, interviewing family members and neighbors.
