On Thursday the 20th, most of the country will be mostly cloudy, with rain on Jeju Island and showers in places including the Chungcheong region and the southern regions. Daytime highs will climb to as high as 34 degrees.
The capital area and Gangwon Province will see many clouds, while other areas will be mostly cloudy. Jeju Island will get rain from early morning to afternoon, and showers are expected in parts of southern Gyeonggi, the Chungcheong region, and the southern regions from morning to evening.
Expected rainfall from showers is 5–40 mm in Incheon and southern Gyeonggi, 5–50 mm in Daejeon, Sejong, and South Chungcheong, and 5–40 mm in North Chungcheong. North Jeolla, Gwangju and South Jeolla, and Daegu, North Gyeongsang, Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang are forecast to receive 5–60 mm of showers.
Between early morning and morning, there may be places in the capital area; inland and mountainous areas of southern Gangwon; the Chungcheong region; North Jeolla; and the North Gyeongsang region that get raindrops of less than 0.1 mm.
In areas with showers, gusty winds with thunder and lightning are possible, so caution is needed.
Morning lows are expected to be 21–26 degrees, and daytime highs 28–34 degrees. Seoul will be 24–31 degrees, and Daejeon, Gwangju, and Daegu will rise to highs of 33 degrees.
Waves will run 0.5–1.0 meters off the East and South coasts and 0.5 meters off the West coast. On the open sea, wave heights are expected to be 0.5–1.5 meters in the East and South seas and 0.5–2.0 meters in the West Sea.
