As activists from the Nationwide Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (Jeon Jang Yeon) launched a rush-hour subway boarding protest on the morning of the 18th, nonstop pass-throughs continued at Seoul Station for about an hour.
Seoul Metro said it lifted the nonstop pass-through measure at Seoul Station at 10:12 a.m. Trains on Line 4 in both directions and on Line 1 outbound toward Guro Station passed through without stopping at Seoul Station from 8:49 a.m.
Jeon Jang Yeon plans to hold a daily rush-hour subway campaign starting on the 18th, demanding that the Ministry of Planning and Budget include funding for disability rights. The group also signaled it would march to the home of Minister Jung Eun-kyeong of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and perform daily "prostration to the ground (匍體投地)."
