It was revealed that Kim Hun, the defendant in the "Namyangju stalking revenge killing," who murdered a woman he had dated in the past after stalking her, mobilized acquaintances to track the victim's location and record conversations.
The Criminal Division 1 of the Uijeongbu District Court Namyangju Branch (Presiding Judge Kim Guk-sik) held the third trial for Kim Hun on the 18th and heard testimony from two female witnesses.
The two women who attended the trial were part-time workers who had worked with Kim Hun and were also known to have been close to the female victim.
Witness A said that, at Kim Hun's request, the witness attached a GPS tracker to the victim's vehicle. The witness also noted that when the victim filed a complaint accusing Kim Hun of injury, the witness, at Kim's request, tried to persuade the victim to withdraw the complaint.
Kim Hun also asked A for a favor to give testimony favorable to him if he were to stand trial over the injury case.
Kim Hun is accused of fatally stabbing the victim with a weapon at about 8:58 a.m. on Mar. 14 on a road in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province. Earlier, last year, he was indicted without detention on charges of assaulting the victim and causing injury.
While being investigated without detention on the injury charge, Kim Hun tracked the victim's location, went to find the victim, and pressed for the withdrawal of the complaint. Prosecutors view the case as a revenge killing and have investigated and indicted it.
