On Thursday the 13th, rain is expected in many parts of the country, including Gangwon, North Gyeongsang, and South Gyeongsang.
Rain that began the previous day will continue on the east coast and in the mountains of Gangwon and on the east coast and in the northeastern mountains of North Gyeongsang, and rain will fall through the afternoon in the mid-mountain and mountainous areas of Jeju Island. From the afternoon through the night, rain is expected along the coast and in the eastern inland of South Gyeongsang, and some inland areas of the Chungcheong region and the southern inland will see showers from the afternoon into the evening.
Expected rainfall is 10–50 mm on the east coast and in the mountains of Gangwon; 10–50 mm on the east coast and in the northeastern mountains of North Gyeongsang; and 10–40 mm in Busan, Ulsan, the southern coast of South Gyeongsang, and the eastern inland of South Gyeongsang. Showers are expected to bring 5–20 mm in Daejeon, Sejong, inland South Chungcheong, and North Chungcheong; 5–20 mm in the eastern inland of South Jeolla and the eastern part of North Jeolla; and 5–40 mm in the central and western inland of South Gyeongsang, Daegu, and inland North Gyeongsang.
Morning lows are forecast at 19–24 C, with afternoon highs at 26–34 C. For the time being, morning temperatures will be similar to or slightly lower than average, and daytime temperatures will be similar. With a heat advisory in effect in parts of Gyeonggi Province, temperatures are expected to rise from the day, with the possibility that the heat advisory will be expanded.
Waves will run 1.0–3.5 meters off the east coast, 0.5–1.0 meters off the west coast, and 0.5–2.5 meters off the south coast. In the inner open sea (the open sea within about 200 km of the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 1.0–4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5–2.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5–3.0 meters in the South Sea.
