On Wednesday the 12th, the heat wave and tropical nights will ease in most areas nationwide. However, the heat will continue with daytime highs rising to 33 C, and rain will fall mainly along the east coast.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 11th, on the 12th the country will see intervals of many clouds, while the Gangwon Yeongdong region and coastal areas of North and South Gyeongsang will be mostly overcast.
Morning lows are forecast at 17–24 C, with daytime highs at 25–33 C.
Morning lows in major areas are 23 C in Seoul, 22 C in Incheon, 21 C in Suwon, 18 C in Chuncheon, 21 C in Gangneung, 20 C in Cheongju, 20 C in Daejeon, 24 C in Jeonju, 21 C in Gwangju, 20 C in Daegu, 22 C in Busan, and 24 C in Jeju.
Daytime highs are expected to reach 33 C in Seoul, 33 C in Incheon, 32 C in Suwon, 30 C in Chuncheon, 26 C in Gangneung, 32 C in Cheongju, 31 C in Daejeon, 33 C in Jeonju, 33 C in Gwangju, 31 C in Daegu, 31 C in Busan, and 30 C in Jeju.
The heat wave will ease. On the 12th, most areas are not expected to see tropical nights or heat waves. However, the apparent temperature could rise to around 33 C, mainly in the greater Seoul area, Chungnam region, and the southern provinces, so caution is advised regarding the heat.
Rain will fall mainly along the east coast. Rain will begin in the Gangwon east coast and mountainous areas in the morning and expand to the North Gyeongsang east coast and northeastern mountains in the afternoon. In Busan and Ulsan, some places may see sprinkles from the afternoon to the morning of the 13th.
From the 12th to the 13th, expected rainfall is 20–60 mm on the Gangwon east coast and mountains and the northern east coast and northeastern mountains of North Gyeongsang, and 10–40 mm on the southern east coast of North Gyeongsang and Ulleungdo and Dokdo.
In the Gangwon mountains, low clouds carried by easterly winds will move in through the morning, and some areas will see dense fog with visibility under 200 meters. Light drizzle is also expected in some places, so use caution for traffic safety.
Starting on the 12th, as the moon's gravitational pull strengthens, sea levels will rise higher than usual. Be alert for flooding and sewer backflow in low-lying coastal areas.
Strong swells are expected to continue to move into the Jeonnam coast, Jeju coast, Gyeongnam coast, and the east coast.
Fine dust concentrations will be at a "good" level nationwide.
