The heat advisory that had been in effect across Seoul was lifted at 4 p.m. on the 11th. With two additional heat-related illness cases reported the previous day, the cumulative number of heat-related patients in Seoul this summer rose to 440.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 11th, the lifting of the heat advisory across Seoul at 4 p.m. lowered the heat wave crisis alert level from "caution" to "attention." Accordingly, emergency operations at heat wave situation rooms run by the city and district offices also ended.
Based on Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency counts, two heat-related illness cases occurred in Seoul on the 10th. From May 15 to Aug. 10, the cumulative number of heat-related patients was 440, of whom five died.
Although the heat advisory has been lifted, the heat is expected to continue for the time being. Seoul's daytime highs are forecast at 32 degrees on the 12th, 33 degrees on the 13th, and 34 degrees on the 14th.
