On Wednesday the 12th, the morning will start off cool, then heat will continue through the day with highs topping 30 degrees.
Morning lows will be 18–24 degrees, and daytime highs 26–33 degrees. The heat wave with temperatures around 40 degrees has retreated, but hot conditions are expected to continue at midday for the time being.
Skies will be clear nationwide, but the Yeongdong region of Gangwon will be mostly cloudy.
In particular, the east coast is expected to see rain. Starting in the morning, rain will begin along the east coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon and is forecast to expand to the North Gyeongsang east coast and northeastern mountains after 6 p.m.
Expected rainfall is 20–60 mm for the Gangwon east coast and mountains and the northern east coast and northeastern mountains of North Gyeongsang, and 10–40 mm for the southern east coast of North Gyeongsang. Waves will run 0.5–3.5 meters off the east coast, 0.5–1.0 meters off the west coast, and 0.5–2.0 meters off the south coast.
Wave heights in the inner offshore waters (the open sea within about 200 km of the coastline) are expected to be 1.0–4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5–3.0 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0–3.0 meters in the South Sea.
