World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders (World-OKTA) said on the 10th it is recruiting participants for entrepreneurship education for the "3rd World-OKTA Global Startup Competition," in partnership with the Global Startup Committee.
The program will run for four days from the 18th to the 21st via the Zoom online video conferencing platform. Anyone interested in starting a business, including prospective founders and startup officials, can participate. There is no participation fee, and applications are open through the 14th.
The competition is for corporations participating in the 2026 World Korean Economic and Trade Expo to be held in Shenzhen, China, in Oct. After preliminaries in Sep. and online semifinals, the finals and an awards ceremony will take place on Oct. 9 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in China
The education focuses on strengthening practical startup capabilities using Agentic AI and consists of eight courses.
The detailed courses are: ▲ idea generation and customer discovery using Agentic AI ▲ problem-solution fit validation ▲ business model building ▲ product-market fit analysis ▲ venture capital investment systems ▲ use of AI tools such as ChatGPT ▲ AI-based marketing ▲ building AI-native corporations with Generative AI and Agentic AI.
The faculty includes Rick Rasmussen, industry fellow at the Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology at UC Berkeley; Michael Lepech, professor at Stanford University; and Thomas Toy, general partner at Startup Capital Ventures.
In addition, U.S. university faculty, venture investors and field experts will share startup ecosystems and the latest investment and technology trends. Attendees include Jung Suh, professor at San Jose State University; Kevin Kim, CEO of Odyssey Venture; and Minha Hwang, Silicon Valley AI expert and senior applied scientist.
Sun Park, head of the Global Startup Committee, said, "Through this program, we hope prospective founders and startup officials can apply AI technology to real startup processes and flesh out business models aimed at global markets."
