On Saturday the 8th, heat wave advisories will be in effect for most of the country, and the sweltering heat will continue.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 8th, the morning low is forecast at 22–27 degrees and the daytime high at 26–37 degrees. The maximum heat index will rise to 35 degrees, and a night with temperatures not dropping below 25 degrees is expected to continue in most areas.
By major city, the expected morning lows are Seoul 27 degrees, Incheon 27 degrees, Chuncheon 25 degrees, Gangneung 24 degrees, Daejeon 26 degrees, Cheongju 27 degrees, Jeonju 26 degrees, Gwangju 26 degrees, Daegu 26 degrees, Busan 27 degrees, Ulsan 26 degrees, and Jeju 27 degrees.
The daytime highs are Seoul 35 degrees, Incheon 35 degrees, Chuncheon 34 degrees, Gangneung 27 degrees, Daejeon 36 degrees, Cheongju 35 degrees, Jeonju 36 degrees, Gwangju 35 degrees, Daegu 35 degrees, Busan 33 degrees, Ulsan 33 degrees, and Jeju 32 degrees.
However, with rain expected in some areas, the intense heat will likely ease somewhat. From early morning, rain will fall along the Gangwon East Coast and in the mountains, and from the morning along the North Gyeongsang East Coast and the northeastern mountains. In Jeju's mountains and mid-mountain areas, rain is expected from the morning. In parts of eastern inland North Gyeongsang during the morning, there may be drops of less than 0.1 millimeter.
From the afternoon into the night, showers are expected in parts of the Seoul metropolitan area, inland Gangwon, the Chungcheong region, the Jeolla region, and parts of inland Gyeongsang. Expected rainfall is 5–40 millimeters for Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi; 5–40 millimeters for inland Gangwon; 5–40 millimeters for Daejeon, Sejong, South Chungcheong and North Chungcheong; 5–40 millimeters for North Jeolla and inland Gwangju and South Jeolla; and 5–40 millimeters for Daegu and inland North Gyeongsang and the northwestern inland of South Gyeongsang.
In areas with rain or showers, temperatures will temporarily drop, but after the rain stops, temperatures will rise again amid high humidity.
