On the 7th, the investigation reform committee said it appointed Lee as an additional Commissioner.
Lee also attended, in the capacity of Commissioner, a roundtable held the same day with the Korea Sexual Violence Counseling Center Association.
A former prosecutor who served as an assistant special prosecutor in the rebellion special counsel investigation, Lee also served as a Commissioner on the first Justice Ministry–Prosecution Reform Committee during the Moon Jae-in administration.
The investigation reform committee was launched on the 27th of last month to improve the overall police investigation system following the Jang Yun-gi case. It is also discussing the settlement of the new investigative framework under the amended Criminal Procedure Act.
