After the National Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (Jeon Jang Yeon) staged a subway-boarding protest during the morning commute on the 3rd, Hyehwa Station on Seoul Subway Line 4 and Noryangjin Station on Line 1, where trains had been passing through without stopping, have resumed normal service.
Seoul Metro announced via a safety text message at 9:30 a.m. that "the non-stop passing of trains at Hyehwa Station (toward Sadang) on Line 4 has ended and service is operating normally."
Jeon Jang Yeon began its "70th morning-commute 'We ride the subway'" protest at around 8 a.m. It is demanding that the government's 2027 budget plan include funding for disability rights.
As Jeon Jang Yeon attempted to board, trains on the down line at Hyehwa Station began passing through without stopping at about 8:45 a.m. The non-stop measure ended after about 50 minutes.
Noryangjin Station on Line 1 also resumed normal service at around 9:50 a.m. It was about 20 minutes after Seoul Metro implemented a non-stop passing measure due to the Jeon Jang Yeon rally.
