BAE, KIM & LEE LLC is responding to changes in labor conditions and industrial safety regulations by bringing on labor and employment experts, including attorney Seo Hyun-young.
Taepyeongyang said on the 3rd that it hired attorney Seo, foreign attorney Kang Seung-hyun (New York), and attorneys Kim Kwang-woo and Park Seo-hyun. The move follows shifts in labor conditions and the regulatory framework due to the enforcement of the yellow envelope law, a new labor law aimed at strengthening the bargaining rights of subcontract workers, and tighter industrial safety regulations under the Serious Accidents Punishment Act.
Seo has handled corporate labor and HR advisory work on working-hours systems and wage structures, the yellow envelope law, a new labor law aimed at strengthening the bargaining rights of subcontract workers, and ordinary and average wages. Seo also worked at Gleiss Lutz.
Kang, a foreign attorney, worked at the global law firm Orrick, Herrington Sutcliffe LLP. At Taepyeongyang, Kang will handle cross-border labor and employment advisory for domestic and overseas corporations.
Kim has experience serving on labor-focused panels at the Seoul High Court and the Seoul Central District Court. Park studied labor law at Korea University Graduate School of Labor Studies and will handle corporate labor and HR advisory and labor dispute response.
